Greetings Members and Visitors,

My name is Joel Lewis, and I am honored to serve as the President of the Mighty Alpha Chapter of Phi Psi Lambda Leadership Society, Inc., based in Bergen County, New Jersey. It brings me immense pride and joy to welcome you to our website. Phi Psi Lambda is more than just a Greek-lettered organization; it is a movement, a beacon for young men of color striving for excellence. Since our founding on September 24th, 2016, we have remained committed to cultivating leadership, educational achievement, and personal growth in our members, guiding them on a path of purpose and impact. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to uplift, empower, and equip men of color to reach their highest potential in education and in life.

In Phi Psi Lambda, we stand on four core platforms: Excellence, Education, Leadership, and Brotherhood. These pillars form the essence of who we are and what we strive to achieve. Excellence is not merely an expectation but a way of life. Our members are driven to push past barriers, excel in their academics, and shine as leaders in their communities. We believe that education is the key to unlocking doors of opportunity, and we stand firm in supporting the educational pursuits of our members. Leadership, both in thought and action, is central to our identity, for it is through leading with integrity and conviction that we create lasting change. And finally, Brotherhood—our bond runs deep. In Phi Psi Lambda, brotherhood is more than camaraderie; it is the unwavering commitment to stand together, lift one another up, and succeed as a collective.

Sacrifice Through Service, our ninth principle, is a reminder that true greatness lies not in what we achieve for ourselves but in what we give back to others. Service is at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s through community engagement, philanthropy, or hands-on initiatives, we are dedicated to being the change we wish to see in the world. Our members actively contribute to a variety of causes, from cancer research fundraising to community restoration projects.
